👋 Hi, I’m Albert—a UX designer turned coach, here to help career professionals rethink what’s next and turn life’s pivots into inspiring Next Chapters. If you’re feeling burned out, stuck, or unsure about what’s next, I get it. I’ve been there.
📖 My Story: Navigating Change in a Fast-Paced Industry
My career journey has been anything but linear. I began working in tech during the boom and bust of the late 90s and early 2000s. When the dot-com bubble burst, I found myself facing a series of layoffs that left me questioning everything. Burnout crept in, and doubts about my future hit hard. Sound familiar?
Rather than staying stuck, I took a step back to reassess what I had to offer. I dissected my experience and skills, identifying unique strengths that went beyond my UX role. I realized I wasn’t just a designer—I was also a strategist, communicator, and problem-solver. This mindset shift allowed me to diversify my opportunities, pivot into new roles, and even explore paths outside of tech, like retail and professional bartending.
Eventually, I found my way back to what I loved most: UX. I launched a freelance consultancy that grew into a thriving business, running it successfully for 10 years before stepping back into corporate roles. Through it all, I stayed agile, learned continuously, and leaned on the network I’d built to keep moving forward.
